Memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 3PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment with Military honors will be at 10AM Wednesday in the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the co-direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home and Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland. 

Keeton was a graduate fo the Texs College of Arts and Industries with a bachelor of Science degree and a masters in Science. He was a real estate appraiser and owner of Myers Real Estate in Breceknridge. More than anything other than loving his family, Keeton was a proud cattle rancher who truly understood and appreciated his cattle. Keeton, also proudly served his country in the US Army.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://meltonkitchens.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/98_115516.jpg" alt="Thomas Eugene &quot;Gene&quot; Williams" />Thomas  Eugene “Gene” Williams, 81, of Breckenridge died Friday, February 17, 2012 at his daughter’s home in Katy.

Gene was born May 26, 1930 in Ranger to Samuel Thomas  and Vesta Elizabeth Williams.  He married Evelyn Marie Hargrave, his high school sweetheart, on September 10, 1949 in Ranger.  He served his country in the Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict.  Gene was a Field Supervisor for BJ Services where he treated oil wells across Texas and Louisiana for over 40 years.  

After a one-year stay at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Houston with his wife Evelyn, Gene received a life-saving heart transplant in 1996.  He exemplified courage and determination over the past 17 years through numerous medical challenges.  His focus, fight, and will are a testament to his character and an example for his grandchildren.  

Pawpaw, as he was known to his grandchildren, displayed a gentle, kind, loyal  and patient nature to all who knew him.  He was happiest when surrounded by family or tinkering in his garage.  He also enjoyed watching his family play football, the Dallas Cowboys, and most recently the Houston Texans.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Evelyn, of 61 years.

Survivors include daughters Gina Devenport and husband Mike of Gatesville and Vina Wulf and  husband Gary of Katy; son Kelsey Williams and wife BranDee of Midland; younger brothers Charles Williams and wife Fran of Georgia and Herbert Williams and wife Mary Jo of Ranger; seven grandchildren: Shane Devenport and wife Averie, Michelle Devenport, Kiely Whitham and husband Tyler, Shanah Wulf, Colby Wulf, Bryce Williams and wife Paige, and Kam Williams; and two great-grandchildren: Gwynn Devenport and Major Williams; and numerous loved ones.

Memorial services will be held at the Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Breckenridge on Saturday, February 25, at 2:00.  Larry Hargrave will officiate.

Funeral service with Jim Cox officiating will be held on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. in the Elliott Street Church of Christ. Interment will follow in the Woodson Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00-5:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.


Curtis Ray Wolfe was born on February 22, 1926 in Woodson, Texas to parents Frank Wolfe and Ruth Hughes Wolfe. He married Rose Stroud on April 5, 1990 in Breckenridge. He owned and operated Jacksboro Fishing Tool and Arrow Fishing Tool of Wichita Falls. Cotton was a member of the Elliott Street Church of Christ and a US Navy veteran of WWII.


Survivors include, wife, Rose Wolfe of Breckenridge; daughters, Ruth Austin and husband, Perry of Abilene and Cyndy Alud and husband, Kenneth of Mineral Wells; son, Joe Ray Wolfe of Kerrville; sister, Pebble Corbell of Midland; brother Jap Wolfe and wife, Elbre of Houston; grandchildren, Nathan Wolfe of Seattle, Tommy Mac Wolfe and wife, Elizabeth of Kerrville, Shaney McNamara and husband, Eric of Houston; and Jacinda Austin-Oronoz and husband, Ray of LaPuente, Cailfornia; step-children, Joe Stout, Terri Lynn Stevens, and Tony Fowler; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Terry Mac Wolfe; and brothers, Graford Wolfe, J.C. Wolfe, and Seburn Wolfe. Paul was born on September 29, 1951 in Knox City to Bedal Mendoza and Guadalupe Torres Mendoza. He married Judy Ann Nix on February 15, 1980 in Breckenridge. He worked in Industrial Construction and was a Catholic. 


He is survived by daughter, Michelle Edwards of Port Lavaca; grandson, Johnny Dean of Port Lavaca; great-grandchildren, Dominique, Bianca, Kasey, Zariah, Jaylyn, Arman, and KayLee; sisters, Dominga “Sandy” Bernal, Elaine Perales, Margie McCratic, Dee Valero, Lily Balvantin, Dolores Cross; brothers, Francisco Mendoza and Emilio Mendoza. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Ann Nix Mendoza, son, Pete Louis Mendoza, parents, Bedal and Guadalupe Mendoza, sisters, Victoria Reyes and Mary Mendoza, and brother Juan Mendoza.

Richard Edwin Brower was born on December 11, 1925 in Lakewood, NJ to parents Alfred Brower and Gladys Riley Brower. He married Verna Mae Rodgers on April 14, 1951 in Corpus Christi. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII and Korea and received his Bachelor’s Degree from UT Arlington. Mr. Brower worked for IBM and was a Baptist.


Survivors include daughters, Joan Weinberg and Bob of West Virginia, Debbie Peach and Tim of Duncanville, and K.C. Green and Lloyd of Mesquite; sons, Richard Brower Jr. of New Iberia, LA, Tim Brower and Cindy of Perth, Australia, John Brower and Karla of Breckenridge, and Michael Brower of Duncanville; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and two brothers.

McPherson of Breckenridge, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the age of 92. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church, Breckenridge, Texas with Rev. Cecil Harper officiating and assisted by Rev. Jason Martin. Interment will follow in Hart Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00-7:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.


Fred was born September 19, 1919 in Weatherford to A.W. and Vesta Barber McPherson and graduated from Burkburnett High School after attending school in Stephens County at Parks School. He married Virginia Mansker on October 1, 1944 in Breckenridge and she preceded him in death on December 21, 1998. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Breckenridge. He served in the United States Army Air Corp as a Bombardier/Navigator on B-26’s during WWII in the European Theatre. He worked for Gulf Oil for 34 years and has been employed by Breck Operating since 1980 working until four weeks before his death.


Fred was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth, in 1995, his parents, four brothers, and three sisters. 


Fred was an amazing father, grandfather, and friend. He was dearly loved by all who knew him. His most enjoyable time of the year was during the collegiate basketball playoffs. He will be profoundly missed by all the lives he touched.


Survivors include one brother, Tommie of Buckley Washington; a son, Richard and his wife, Maureen of Dallas; daughter-in-law, Kay McPherson of Midland; grandchildren, Jeff and his wife, Corrie, Kevin and his wife, Paige, Kyle and his wife, Nicole, Alissa and her husband, Nick Gass, Kris, Kaycee, and Beth; great-grandchildren, Stetson, Shelby, Bryndale, Jack, Payten, Claire, Ashlynn, Kenley, and Dylan McPherson, and Bridgette Gass. She married Henry Armel Gunlock on April 7, 1953 in Breceknridge and he preceded her in death in March of 1959. Mrs. Gunlock was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and worked as a bookkeeper at R.E. Dye manufacturing.</p>

<p>Arlene Tindall Roberts was born October 8, 1920 in Caddo, Texas to parents, Sam and Ellie Tindall. She spent most of her life in Stephens County, living in Caddo, Necessity, Frankell, Breckenridge, and Tanglewood Island Hubbard Creek Lake. In 2007 Arlene moved to Moran, Texas and in 2010 she moved to Abilene, Texas where she passed away. Arlene was a member of the Lakeside Baptist Church, Breckenridge, Texas. She was a homemaker and a seamstress at Davis Manufacturing.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Arlene is survived by her children, Jo Roberts Wilks, Mary Roberts Childs and Mike, and Bobby Louis Roberts and Yvonne. Seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Lorraine Tindall, and twelve nieces and nephews. Arlene was preceded in death by her husband Marshall May 15, 2004, her parents, Sam and Ellie Tindal, three brothers, James Harvey Tindall, Louis Jefferson Tindall, and Sam Houston Tindall Jr, two sisters, Berniece Tindall Morgan and Ida Ann Tindall Nichols all of Stephens County.
